Programs
Riverside Indian School's academic offerings empower students and prepare them for the demands of high school, college and beyond. Our curriculum emphasizes Native cultural studies alongside traditional academics, fostering a deep understanding of heritage and identity. Programs such as Native Literature, Tribal Government and Native Song and Dance offer students a unique educational experience celebrating their cultural backgrounds.
Riverside Indian School provides multiple academic resources to support student success:
- Credit Recovery Program: Juniors and seniors behind in credits can engage in computer-assisted recovery courses. This program is especially important for seniors, who are prioritized to stay on track for graduation.
- College Readiness: Counselors work with students to identify scholarship opportunities and assist with applications, making higher education attainable for all students.
- Summer School and Programs: Students can attend summer school to recover credits or participate in enrichment programs, such as athletic camps and college visits.
In addition to the standard curriculum, elective courses such as computer science, arts, health, personal finance, speech and music allow students to explore their interests while developing essential skills. Our 21st Century Program focuses on strengthening Native values, reading and math skills, and recreational interests, aligning with our goal to shape well-rounded, culturally aware adults.
