Riverside Indian School Travel Information

Out-of-State Student Flight Travel

Riverside Indian School provides travel/transportation for out-of-state students accepted into our program.
Travel will be provided at the beginning, during Christmas break, and at the end of the school year. Riverside staff will be stationed at airports where students have flights/layovers and will assist students with getting to the proper gates.
Ground transportation will also be provided from Will Rogers World Airport (Oklahoma City, OK) to Riverside Indian School; however, transportation from the student’s residence to the departing airport is the parent/guardian’s responsibility.

Student Traveler Checklist

Photo ID: Ensure the student has a photo ID upon check-in at the airport.
Airport Check-In: Please arrive at the airport at least two hours before the scheduled departure time.
Baggage Fees: Baggage fees for checked bags are the parent/guardian’s responsibility and must be paid upon check-in at the airport. The student's travel itinerary will include a current baggage fee policy. Luggage and other personal belongings may be mailed to the school to avoid costly fees at the airport.
Unaccompanied Minors: The airlines offer this service for younger passengers flying alone. Riverside will pay the fee if this service is required.
Missed Flights: If your student misses their flight and the airline cannot confirm them on another flight, please contact the school during office hours so that the student’s flight can be rescheduled. Students who continually miss their flights will be placed on the waiting list until an opening becomes available.
