Special Education at Riverside Indian School

At Riverside Indian School, we offer an inclusive and welcoming learning environment where every student can feel safe and successful. Our dedicated team of educators supports all students over, around and through any learning obstacles. We develop learning and teaching strategies that help students maximize their full potential.

Special Education includes services and specially designed instruction to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. Individualized Education Programs are provided for all students with special needs. The IEP is created by a team that includes the family, teachers, administrators, counselors and related services personnel.

Our special education program includes a wide range of special needs services, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, counseling services and education services.

We comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974. These acts ensure that students with and without disabilities receive the same educational opportunities.
